Summer Poem by Katinka Havermans

Summer

The summer air is stifling and hot
I find it hard to breathe
Swallows are soaring up in the sky
My eyes tearing as I look up watching
Bees are buzzing on the flowers
Leaves on trees rustle softly
It seems peaceful and yet
I cannot wait for the autumn winds to come
