Summer Morning Poem by Brad Bayliss

Summer Morning

Morning sky was ruby red
the air moist and warm
and tell tale signs of the day to come
drift across the sky
for wind and rain is due today
to force us all indoors
to rest from routine
to rest our tired bones
mid week and the weekend looms
and life it takes us on
that weathered path to Autumn
and colder days beyond
we gather memories so special
and keep them in our hearts
for when we are old and lonely
we remember days so gold.
