Summer Thunderstorm Poem by Quinn Graw

Summer Thunderstorm

Lightning, thunder and the rain
throughout the night sky terrain.
Flashes and rumbles
the rain clouds crumble
half an inch of water
falling out of the air
overheated from the daytime
a thunderstorm can be quite a scare.
Up in the sky
lightning is brightening
if too close I find it frightening.
Cooler in the after morning
chilling out with a summer wind
the leaves of the trees
wave hello in the breeze.
This is the aftermath
from nature's thunder wrath.
The simple beauty of an acreage
the chickens, the grasses, the garden as well
brings a different part
of God's nature to the forefront
that we should honour and praise.
God is in control of our central limit
nature runs in cycles
never forgetting like riding a bicycle.
He knows the exact end of our time
the most precious non-renewable resource of all
wasting time marks a serious crime
let's learn and enjoy God's designs
in every day remain on this earth.
