September the fourth
We got our yearly flu shot
We pray to stay well.
Because of COVID
We stay home just like hermits
Counting passing days.
In few more short days
We'll celebrate Labor Day
Just me and my wife.
For many summers
Grandchildren came for good times
They laughed and they smiled.
They swam, played tennis
They ran and played in the yard
They raced in play cars...
Now, the summer ends
We swim and we play tennis
We miss our grand kids.
