Sunset Poem by Gary Bryson

Sunset

Rating: 3.5

Orange bursts of sunset
Painted in clouds,
Fades from view quickly,
In evening grey shrouds.

A snapshot of brilliance
That captures my eye,
Then lost in a minute,
With a rapture of sky.

I gaze there in wonder
And I ‘m hypnotized,
By the day’s final spender,
My mind mesmerized.

Those last final moments,
When the evening sun sets,
I am grateful to God,
For the pleasure I get.

And now that last glint,
That burns in the west,
Is cloaked in the glory,
Of the day’s final rest.
