Superheroes

The captivating stories of idiosyncratic beings
Shrouded deep in mystery
Mutants or aliens or chimeric forms
Covered by an overt mask
Even the corporeal bronze wrapped
By the casing of colorful skin-hugging leotards
Embellished with undergarments
Draped on the outside
Visible to the curious gazes of the adoring public
With fancy rides self-maneuvered
Or boosted by the zip of mechanical creatures
Chosen by forces of destiny
With powers that are sculpted by fatum
But self-mastered in the trickling waters of time
Fighting for justice in a fairy-tale dystopian world
As stories are narrated of fictional super beings
Immortalized in the folios of history
To bequeath on the wandering man
A pathological obsession
Of anecdotal legends
