Surely Poem by Maureen Onyinye Kenneth

Surely

Rating: 5.0

OK!I've heard it,
enough of it,
It shouldn't be just all about it,
because there was happiness,
love, smiles, joy before it
Don't make it sound like it's over

Choose your words well
Be mindful of what you hear
Your believe might be strong
Yet it's not enough
To defeat the unleashed

Listen to them when they say
"Wear the nose mask,
Wash your hands,
Sanitize your hands
Stay away from the crowd
Stay on healthy diet"

Why argue and say
"I know the God I serve,
I don't need to stay safe,
I'm saved already"
Preach It brethren!
But heaven helps those
Who help themselves
Don't confuse religiousness
to reality

Apply hard work
By playing your little best
The deed is done
But the deed can be solved
We could Change this fate
With the help of our faith
Don't exclude the good work

There will be no more crying,
Lamenting and sad news
We could do all of these
And still maintain the peace
Sure we need a grace to survive
It isn't my grace, or yours or.....
It's only by Gods grace!
