Can you hear the surf song sing?
Softly, lilting on each wave;
Blithely blowing home to bring
sea shells from a distant cave.
Hear its ancient mellow strain,
Sweet, familiar, lullaby;
Like the soothing falling rain,
To console and pacify.
Listen to its rhythm beat,
steady as a constant heart;
Ever steadfast in retreat,
At the end as at the start.
How grand that God gives us this song
that never ends but lasts lifelong.
