Sweet Longing Poem by Christina Byrd

Sweet Longing

I got a taste of you
A sample of what could be.
Then you left me
Awaiting your return
Holding on every moment
Living in a space of time
Like the winter pond my life was frozen
Waiting for your summer arrival
It will melt the ice and be glorious.
Together our light will shine upon the world
But right now I have sweet longing
Till you come home to me.
Till you come home to me.

When it comes to " longing" the guys aren't so nice about it. Just ask Shakespeare... and find Sonnet 147 Yuuuhp!
