Symbolism Poem by Haley Melton

Symbolism

An army of ships no one could defeat
All taken down by planes just one fleet

Two towers at the heart of American dreams
So easily shot down, or so it seems

Shackles given to everyone in sight
Sad thing is were not even giving them a fight

Do you truly love your daughters or son
We are still in a war, no one has one

The battle keeps raging there are many who fight
You must go out and tell them we are the ones with the rights!

We don't want to kill others simply for money
I remember a saying you catch more flies with honey

We will not play god and decide who goes
Who we just killed, no one knows

We must be able to go on till the end
Even if it means we lose our greatest friend!
