Tagore Poem (#39) What Kind Of Light Lights Up Your Life

(Kon aloke praner pradip jwaliye tumi -)

What kind of light lights up your life?
For coming back to this world
Oh my love, my madly divine enquirer
Amidst your endless suffering
Worldly pain rings your heart-string
Amidst even the deep dangers
What kind of mom’s smile make you laugh?

For whose sake do you wonder around?
Neglecting earthly comforts
For a man making you cry so copiously?
How can a man you love so dearly
Doesn’t hesitate to make you cry?
This makes me wonder on his identity
So that even forgetting your own life
You swim gladly in this ocean of life!
