Take Me Please Poem by Hortense E. Wilhite

Take Me Please

Rating: 5.0

Dear Lord
When time comes for me to leave this earth
Please take me like a bird takes wings and fly
Don't let the days, weeks, months go rolling by
Just take me please
As a thief snatches a purse nd goes fleeing by
Don't leave me to be nursed or lonely or wondering why
This ache is here, the pain is there, don't let me cry, cry, cry,
Just take me please.
This favor I ask; I know not why.
But just like you brought me here to live and die
Please and swift like the swallows fly.
Just take me please
