Taken Poem by Daryl Elliott

Rating: 0.5

In a storm of anger, I let you go
My heart cried out, as I lay on the floor
The last I saw, you were just a child
Crying for her dad, screaming out loud
My sweet young girl, say it's not true
I'm not sure how to live
since your mother took you
We used to play in the park
we had so much fun
we spent hours talking, but now that is done
No slides, no swings
your giggles I miss
O Mari I love you
It shouldn't be like this
I can't get it back, there is no new start
She took you form my life
but your still in my heart.
My hope is someday
that you will see
the lies that were told
to keep you from me.
