Taken Over Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Taken Over

The ear tests words as the mouth tastes food,
But, to drink mockery like water is the very ways of your life;
As seen in your land where, no one respects the laid down laws.
The carnal mind cries out! !
But, a dream which has come true will never pass away;
Muse!
With the knowledge of true love from afar;
But, the door for the sheep is now being taken over by the thief and the robber.
The roar of the lions!
As heard afar on a faithful hill;
The muse of your love!
As seen in the faithful valley of peace;
But, the thief and the robber have taken over the door of the sheep.
