Taylor: Chaze Poem by Brodie Montgomery

Taylor: Chaze

Rating: 5.0

We went to school together,
You were the kid nobody liked.
Spoke like a bogan,
Snuck girls to your house at night.

Then you got expelled,
It wasn't quite the same.
To come to school and realise,
You won't be there again.

And so passed, a long long time,
Before i saw you chaze.
Then a party we're both at,
Put us through a texting faze.

You came to the hospital,
When my daughter was born.
Out of all of my 'friends',
You walked through the door.

T'was then i became conflicted,
I started to fall for you.
But i'd just had a baby,
There's no way you were interested too.

So we continued texting,
And i continued falling.
Pretending that they don't exist,
And then you started calling.

Oh all the girls you spoke about,
The neighbour across the road.
Encouraged you and egged you on,
I couldn't let you know.

Then i came for a visit,
We got rather drunk and soon.
And so we spent the rest of the night,
Cuddled under the moon.

Things went back to normal,
Texting everyday.
Never running out of things,
For you and i to say.

Then i had a party,
18 beers you drank.
Gettin' mad at Rowan,
He turned you to a crank.

So i set you down to talk,
Said you hated Rowan to diss.
And for some reason then,
My solution was to kiss.

When you went back home,
Things remained the same.
Never had to worry,
You'd turn your back away.

Then another visit,
And i was drinkin with you.
Same thing happened as before,
Except you said; 'I love you'.

Now we are 'official',
Though the only thing that's changed.
Is now you are my boyfriend,
It better stay that way.
