Teach Me How To Say Goodbye. Poem by Adrianna Brown

Teach Me How To Say Goodbye.

Rating: 5.0

You were once my best-friend,
The only friend I couldn't see an end,
But now you've chosen her,
And all I am is just a blur.

I turned away the world for you,
Something you would never do.
You seem to think she loves you more,
But is publicity your only door?

Every part of me is telling me to let go,
But will you teach me how to stoop that low?
Everyday I'm surrounded by peers,
But why is it I only speak tears?

My best-friend took my heart,
Currently throwing dart after dart,
Why is it I can't let go?
Suffering - throw after throw.
I'm ready to say goodbye,
But why do I feel like her love is all a lie?

He'll be hurt and all alone,
He'll lose his well deserved throne,
But I'm tired of being hurt,
Getting treated like nothing but dirt,
Teach me how to say goodbye,
Before my soul starts to fly.
