Tears and Fears

Tears and fears
Broken gears
Cogs that slipped
I have tripped
Nothing is real
I can't even feel
It all is dead
The blood is red
Through thick fog
Continue to slog
Head's just not right
Lost to all sight
Today she'll die
I understand why
Still there's pain
And tears like rain
I failed once more
To find the cure
What to say
When this is the day
But at such cost
All alone and lost
I will never forget
That your sun has set
Goodbye my friend
May your agony end

Poem of the Day

poet William Butler Yeats

WINE comes in at the mouth
And love comes in at the eye;
That's all we shall know for truth
Before we grow old and die.
