Tears Fall, Blood Drips Poem by Emily Reid

Tears Fall, Blood Drips

You’re gone,
And without you there,
I don’t see the point,
I don’t bother to care.

You just left,
Just like that,
Did I do something wrong?
Please enlighten me to that fact.

Now there’s no us,
Just a me and a you,
You didn’t think it’d affect me,
Did you even think it through?

What was I supposed to do?
Forget, move on?
I doubt it,
I can’t pretend you’re not gone.

But that’s alright,
I can tape up the rip,
But I’m not gonna heal the wounds on my wrists,
I’m gonna let the blood drip.

With the blood,
My pain melts away,
The tears fall,
But they’ll stop someday.
