Tears Of Love - Poem by shakil ahmed

Tears of Love

She loves me
It is certain
I have a soft place in her heart
I know it very well
I believe it very well.

Sometimes she hates me
Undoubtedly it is true
Her hatred is genuine
‘Cause I don't love her.

Sometimes she smiles at me
A piercing smile
With an immense hope
Of a positive gesture
But my awful silence
Compels her to hate me
She shed tears from her eyes
And tears never tell lies.

Tears oozing from her wan face
Make me puzzled and bewildered
I started babbling in a confused manner
Words of love come out my lips
And unconsciously I hold her in my arms
Suddenly the bell rings
And I awake.
