Teenagers Poem by Melissa Andrea Rivero Wong

Teenagers

Teenagers having all in only one hand
And crossing so far to the edge
They think life is simple at this moment
And wishes will come true as soon as they ask
What a mistake.
Carry hopes to this future
As if they will be pretty sure what is going to happen then
But darling we are not clairvoyant
And we aren't God
Dreams can be dreams, hopes can be hopes
The empathy with others it's just a copy
If you're running
Don't give up
But you better wake up if you really want this in your life
Trying to be blind or deaf
It could be gloomy
If you don't change
The intrepid that they have can turn teenagers wild and stupid
We should be tactful with ourselves
Appreciate life more than nature
This is what i mean
