Tender Hurt Poem by venessa ambrose

Tender Hurt

The sun stood in its place,
Oho! It has always been there,
The rainbows sang,
A hearty song,
One filled with lots of colours,
And deep within my soul,
I knew the winds blew west,
While dancing in to the east,
They blew laughter,
And senseless joy.

Was there a change in my features?
Or do I sense hope?
I saw the star twinkle,
When looking at your balls,
I felt the air still,
As our lips joined,
In tender music,
Journeying towards the woods in search of a haven,
To hold what's dear near!

The rivers watched you smile,
And it leaped to feel,
The birds ran towards me,
With raging jealousy,
Such beauty belonged only to them,
I stood still,
I felt an ache!
For this time I felt it,
I felt true love!
