THANK GOD FOR ANGELS
THANK GOD FOR ANGELS
How I thank God for angels
That watch over me each day
That have surely been my protectors
When danger came my way
So many situations
As I think of bygone days
When I’m sure they’ve done double duty
Known to God and I
I often read of stories
Or have heard the story’s told
When others have given testimony to
The angels of the Lord
Because God’s my Habitation
Yes, He now lives in me
And to whomsoever believes on Him
He gives angels charge over thee.
To keep thee in all thy ways
To bear thee up in their hands
From dashing thy foot against a stone
Even protection from lions
We have an army of angels
Sent with utmost submission
To do the bidding of our God
In every situation.
For longevity they help us
We long to be aged saints
No task is insurmountable
Never an angel faints
Though I seldom think upon
My angels such as friends
I thank my God for them
For their duty never ends.
