I saw the halo above my head
and cried
cause I will never be the angel you wish

I saw the horns above my head
and sobbed
cause I didn't want it to be like this

But you found me
and picked me up
Dusted me off
and lifted my chin high

I got to say thank you
When my heart was bleak
I got to say thank you
When I wanted to say it
I got to say I love you
and meant it

Because you placed my heart back
Where it was meant to be
