Thank You But Not Sure Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Thank You But Not Sure

Thank you but not sure

Our names are Lama, Cow, Goat and Pig
Horses too were of us; and Donkeys.

Many were among us but are not.

Mind icy
Icicles fell in fog
time shortened for taken off the list,
God forbid if you cared
you did not, and rained kicks.

You who walks standing
Use your hat in judgement
You sure are pretending:
"With love we help and feed."

But you know; as do we
the lies are for fooling
your food was and must be
our birth right
you stole and stored
then fed with as if yours.

For price
You cage us and milk us and then kill.

Thank you?
We wonder if we should.

Of course "Not";
We so think.

Open eyes if you can
look at you and yourself
see depth of refugees.
