I've been abused and abandoned
By those that should show love
But now I'm kneeling and talking
To my Father up above

Oh I stand before this cross
A forgiven man it's true
But now I have to look within
And find forgiveness there for you

But I'm on that forgiveness highway
And my heart has Broken down
Lord I don't want to do it my way
You know I'd only let you down

They told me I was dirty
Said I'd never be any good
They beat me more so much more
More than love ever should

But now I know about Jesus
And the saving of his blood
And I'm on that forgiveness highway
Seeking guidance from above

Now I've read what Jesus whent through
And still he said forgive
Lord I'm trying to obey you
Please teach me to forgive
