The Admiral's Daughter Poem by Joyce Hemsley

The Admiral's Daughter

She'd travelled far around the world
She'd seen the Seven Wonders
Danced with Princes
Dined with Earls
Lived through fifty summers.

Her eyes revealed a kindness rare
She gave her wealth to others.
Helped poor children
Find their way
And cared for ailing mothers.

Her beauty was beloved by all
Every man adored her
So... ring out the bells
Wave high the flags
And welcome the Admirals Daughter
