The All Poem by Anthony Joseph Erangey

The All

Young soul, do you understand what is before thee,
See this place in which you are about to be born.
Accept the conditions that are prevalent here
Many have seen and agreed to help the forlorn.

You will be tempted to think only of yourself
In solitude and separate your life from All
But this is against your very nature itself
Impossible, actually for you are all one.

You are one with the water, fire, earth, and sky
You are one with the hungry, the weak and the scared
One with the homeless, the poor, and all passers by
You are one with the young, the old, sick and despaired.

You’ll feel one and the same as the heartless and cruel
If in your life you ignore the work you must do
Care not to be seen as the genius or the fool
Your role is to serve and to love All around you

Remember when you see pain, souls going through hell
That you came from the heavens, where All love must dwell.
As the Master said, “Love Thy Neighbor as Thy self”
