The Altar Poem by Mirabelle Joy Alabado

The Altar

As I gaze at the sky late at night
Our star and moon were shining bright
Then suddenly dark clouds collide
Ask God if for Him shall I confide

It's me part of this universe
Pour quench of freedom for I was thirst
Living life as I feel death
Dig it deep before it burst

Cage of the past still hunting me
No one knows they're too blind to see
I feel this pain while you got hurt
Wipe that tears let make it straight

Hours past the dawn comes
Flowers bloom with the rising sun
I have to go out to find that man
Awaits at the altar as he stands
