The Amazement Poem by Gerry Legister

The Amazement

Rating: 3.0

Time mocks me simply
Because I often pray
To meet the beautiful but fearful day

It starts with a vapor.
The reflection of nothing greater
Then the silence whisper

The sun's artistic awakening flames
Sweep away the dark realms.
But I am not afraid of the pain.
Because God still reigns.

The withdrawn silhouette
Will climb up again to light.
Up the orbit

Acres of landscape in a world
Solace for the body, spirit, and soul
Yearning for heaven to unfold.

Surprise feeling of astonishment.
By inspired amazement
Overwhelming lifetime of wonderment
