The Angel's Key Poem by Caliban Hicks

The Angel's Key

Come and take me
Give me the key
So i can change my destiny
This pain is too much
Its like a crutch
That i have to lean on
Without moving on

I turn from the shame
My mind i maime
Trying to make sense
Of this turbulence
The gates are locked
And my soul blocked
From the grace of death
The sigh of fleeting breath
I cant take that myself
I just sit on the shelf
Waiting for the beautiful day
When i run away
With the angel's key
It belongs to me
Maybe a stranger will hand me it
The bullet taking shape and hit
Me right in the chest
That would be best
So i could be free
By the angel's key
