The angels cry

Listen as the wind howls

For you will hear the angels cry

They weep not for the dead

But for the living

For the breathing fall like leaves

In an autum beeze

As the wind flows by

So to will the angels cry for a loved one

Poem of the Day

poet Henry David Thoreau

My books I'd fain cast off, I cannot read,
'Twixt every page my thoughts go stray at large
Down in the meadow, where is richer feed,
And will not mind to hit their proper targe.
