The Asian Lady

I raced with my thoughts
Through the Chinese wall.
In the middle
Of my fight
With my sweat
And my fear;
Your face
Appeared
At the other side
Of my fear,
And halted my running face
To handle me
Another face
To put on
To face my fear.

Poem of the Day

poet Henry David Thoreau

My books I'd fain cast off, I cannot read,
'Twixt every page my thoughts go stray at large
Down in the meadow, where is richer feed,
And will not mind to hit their proper targe.
