she knew the darkness was at her side
pushing, disrupting, intruding and
trying to extinguish her light
yet she struggled, resisting, relying on her strengths
focusing on a greater battle in which lives matter
fortitude was her rock preventing penetration
but when that darkness at her side was feed
by the monsters on the outside with a perjure history
the light, oh the light
the truth may never be known but
we do know the monsters, and
in death, no darkness, only light
illuminating brighter and wider
becoming a rock for others
in struggle to continue the fight
