The Bear And The Willow Tree Poem by GORDON GILHULY

The Bear And The Willow Tree

this then is how I love you far away:

on shining gold and silver threads

that begin as star seeds divinely planted

and eager in the light of my soul

for that ambrosial moment

redolent of Fall's sweet rememberings

whenthe confluence of sun and moon

comes calling

sacred smiles bathed with warmth and beauty

climb into the swirl: they dance, coalesce

become my love that journeys

to your soul

my love knows where you live

knows that you will find your way

knows that even now with miles between us

our hearts touch and are true
