The Beauty Of Tragedy Poem by Raimi Babatunde

The Beauty Of Tragedy

Oh Lord God of Isreal! Forgive!
The whole world seeks You
In truth and in Spirit
Because of "One 'tiny' virus
We have all been humbled
Our pride grossly deflated
Our sun has been darkened
Filth and death everywhere

Oh Covid 19!
What a teacher you turned to be
Causing deaths untold world over
You reminded us of true fellowship
Worshipping the God of all flesh
The One that plagued Egypt
In our heart, with celestial voices
We make atonement for a lost generation
Or is this the beauty of tragedy?

Thus sayeth The Lord in 2 Chr.7: 14
"If my people, which are called by my name"
"Shall humble themselves"
"Pray and seek my face"
"And turn from their wicked ways"
"Then I will hear from heaven"
"And will heal their land.

Your power was evident in Exodus
Where you plagued Egypt
A demostration of your power
Over Pharaoh and the gods of Egypt
God of Shiloh, cleanse out lands
Our eyes look unto you fervently
From whence cometh our help

The atheists turns to you
The pagans put their trust in You
World leaders look to You oh Lord
But if you find one worthy
You will not destroy
Our Rock, our comforter
The Greatest of all Physicians
We return wholeheartedly, please

The God that honours His words
More than His name
The One that created the heavens without pillars
Who is like unto thee oh Lord!
By whatever name and number
On bended kneels the world asks
Please cleanse out lands

Together, like the birds in the sky
Let us come together as a people
And raise Him a offering
A offering of true worship and praise
Not in eye service or as men pleasers
Let us go on our kneels and worship
Those who kneel before God
Will rise about any plague, especially this...
