The Beggers Of Love Poem by Alexander Foald

The Beggers Of Love

I would always be asking the same question
What do you prefer of how this would end?
Taking your bags to the station
Or taking one more night here to spend

There was no such thing like misery
When I knew you’d always be there
And I’ll be home when you miss me
For the night never lasts longer than what I care

And I don’t want to see you cry
Like a kid don’t want to see the hero dies
It’s never too hard if we never stop to try
To keep ourselves beyond the border of lies

Because I need you, and tonight I feel more
I thirst your love like the night desires the moon
And above all the things I’ve known for sure
I never feel the way I want to see you soon
