The Best You Can Do Poem by Francis Duggan

The Best You Can Do

The best you can do is take life by the day
You can make out of this what you wish to anyway
You should not feel regret if your best you have done
Though you feel you are one of those who has not won
In a Human World for one to win big many do have to lose
Losing is a thing that anyone does not choose
But the best you can do is to give it your best try
And this to everyone does surely apply
So many disappointed that they are not the best
That they were found to be wanting when put to the test
Many like you have tried hard and failed to succeed
But that you gave it your best is all that matters indeed
You gave it your best try this is all you can do
And maybe next time the winner will be you.
