The Blue Birds Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

The Blue Birds

Rating: 4.5

The blue birds,
Living in Babylon!
With the muse of mankind;
Life,
In the jungle!
With others working in the rice fields.

Fields, shields!
At the point,
At the hour;
Walking and talking,
Like the muse of the son of a preacher!
But, with vodka and fish-soup on the table.

The blue birds!
From Ur to Rome;
Learning the ways of mankind,
And, seeking for the truth!
All over the world;
With the works of peace than war.
