I love the way you kiss me,
I love it when you smile,
I love it when I look in your eyes I can see for a mile,
But when you're away,
I think of you and pray,
That you are thinking of me too,
I don't know what it is you do,
I feel like I am safe to be,
To be more confident to just be free,
Carefree in every decision,
You struck me like an incision,
You made your mark like a tattoo,
For you I would stop a moving train,
I know it's just you make me insane,
You climbed the tree into my soul,
With pride I think I've lost self control,
I can't help but kiss you,
When you're gone my lips miss you,
They are addicted to the taste,
You are the obstacle I am glad I faced,
There's a true mystery in your eyes,
And the Struggles that you faced made you wise,
My heart tries to understand,
Without over stepping the borders into uncharted land,
I want to know you through and through,
Because what we have is new and true,
Don't forget it when I say,
That you make my everyday a day.
I see that Kelly has already given you a good advice WELCOME at PH, Bailey Cheers
Bailey, don't worry about rhyme. In love poems, especially, it takes away from the full, raw emotion when you are constrained to finding words that rhyme. If you were to pour your heart out to him, would it all rhyme? You have potential and enthusiasm. Keep writing! Peace

Beautiful love poem, well articulated and subtly penned from inner recesses of the heart with conviction. I like the line: WITHOUT OVER STEPPING THE BORDERS INTO UNCHARTED LAND - very insightful. Lovely piece of poetry with good rhyme scheme. Thanks for sharing Bailey. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
