The Blue Throat God. Poem by Ayaan Naseer

The Blue Throat God.

Demons traveling on untrodden ways
I'm counting my final days
A bedridden monk full of agonizing pain
Who shall be tortured, who betrayed
Thoughts traversing through my brain
From the water of life i shall abstain
Death carries a message of relief
Of a destination i ought to attain
The poison that turned your god's throat blue
I've drank it to see what i accrue
The eye of destruction that he possesses
I'm trying to understand it, trying to construe.
