The Board Walk Poem by Jona PoloRamirez

The Board Walk

Holding hands walking by the lake
A smile on your face - a reflection in my heart,
Silence prevails each touch communicates
A wish borne in our heart never found its place.

The absence of words broken by the waves
Revealing thoughts - our hearts never found its place,
Two hours of walk but silence did prevail
The thoughts within our hearts flew away in space.

Our feelings confined - a nook within our hearts,
The mind afraid to find the truth we feel inside,
The hands reached out to touch - a spark preferred
To locked itself behind, the corners of our hearts.

And now too late our hearts didn't find its way
To express itself in the silence of the bay,
Two hearts connect but words have failed to say,
Feelings unsaid remains locked up away.

Harbourfront, Lake Ontario - Aug.2006
