So we meet many personalities
In this journey of life
We leave indelible impressions
And build many friends along the way.
Your kindness is commendable;
For you weigh your words wisely
You encourage when you should
And admonish when you must.
You conduct yourself with care
Seeking neither to bruise egos
Nor to kill any striving spirit.
You maintained your staff’s trust
And disparaged none of them.
Your style was a breath of fresh air
In this sometimes chaotic place.
You are truly a peoples’ person
You availed yourself to me
And prove me a worthy friend
And for this I will hold you dear.
Yes, you are leaving this place,
But never from my thoughts,
And certainly not from my prayers.
As you seek new endeavors,
Remain loyal to yourself
And let the best of you shine
And this bond of friendship
Will defy death any time.
