The Call Poem by Patricia Gale

The Call

Rating: 5.0

Your voice is heard and my heart races
I take in a deep breath for composure
A tremor courses through my soul
Stretching my spine for balance or perhaps to shake the very nerve
A smile embraces me
And my being has taken flight and I become lost within the sound of your voice….

Aimlessly I float on clouds of joy
We are children laughing… young lass and sweet boy
Happiness has taken control
And you are in my soul

So much life surges through the phone
I feel you…. and begin to wonder
If his voice takes me so high with just the tone……
God help me I have fallen and I am going under!

Careful lassie remember…. Be a lady
Oh but sometimes I admit ….
Never mind lets not become too shady!

I love your whit….
Your eyes of blue….
Your smile….
Oh can it be true?
Could this be worthwhile?
