The Call Of Silence Poem by hari kunisseri

The Call Of Silence

Rating: 5.0

Uneven pieces of green carpet,
Sewn together by thick
Brown thread,
Stretching away,
To where the sky
Greets the earth.
The white necked eagle
Swoops, plucks a
morsel,
Soars away.
The palm fronds
Bow in unison
To the breeze
That passes by
Rippling the
foliage
In its wake.
The silence so deep,
That one can hear the
Musical
Whispers of the leaves
uncoil, and propels us
to a realm of calm

The sun slips away
as Dusk descends
gets swallowed
by darkness
accompanied by a
medley of sounds,
An occasional hoot of the owl,
The unending chirping of crickets
A mating croak of a frog,
wavering cries of a bird
A pinpoint of light,
Shed by a stray firefly

A slow inward
breath,
silent sighs,
of memories recalled
the smiles,
togetherness,
arms around,
shared
comfort and peace,
the minds unbound,
singing
our silent songs

A full of imagery and well penned poem which mirrors pretty much my piece titled: 'A CODE OF SILENCE', I can see beauty, hear melody and feel peace in your excellent poem.10+++ Love and Peace...

Ahh, there seems to be such peace in that silence. That poem was very refreshing- thank you for sharing it. Very picturesque!
