Attachment is a bond we form,
With people, place & things we adore,
A connection that we can't ignore,
And something that we cherish more.

Something they can be light,
That shines on us & makes us bright,
With all the love & hope they bring,
And all the cheerful songs they sing.

Attachents can hit us hard,
And leave us feeling bruised & scared,
As we stand tall & face the fight,
And hold on to the things that make us right.

Something they can be nightmare,
That haunt us with fear & leave us bare,
As we grapple to let go,
Of all the things we used to know.

So cherish all the things you feel,
And all the stories they reveal,
And knows that even when they're gone,
Their memories will live on & on.

For attachments make us who we are,
And guide us through life near & far,
And when we find the strength to hold,
We find the power to be bold.
