The Chameleon Poem by Franklin J. Warren

The Chameleon

I thought i had a wonderful friend,
That could and would help my heart mend,
She is as beautiful as the prettiest flower,
Yet when for me things turned so dour,

I asked kindly for a visit or a call,
But no matter what, i never heard from her at all,
So i found that when i was in dire need,
What i thought was a flower was only a weed!
