The Cigarette And I Poem by cassie wheathers

The Cigarette And I

The chemicals dance in me,
i feel them, but for this i am hated.
To the shiny white box i smile and talk,
but my desires all go unstated.
The pale and wonderous cylinder
emitts grey that carreses me.
My beautiful, you are all i need.
Our love wont be a secret when im finally free.
I take you in, toxins and all.
In my lungs i feel you depart.
I'd rather you be there then anywhere else,
for my lungs are quite close to my heart.
