The City Where I Was Born Twice Poem by Karina Lakeyeva

The City Where I Was Born Twice

Rating: 5.0

I will never forget and will never feel
That another world – even hereafter…
In Serenity we did sail our keel,
We did fly above trembling heights of Laughter.

Those days and nights – full of the answered longs,
That wet murk of rain, chocolates, your gown,
Aromatic gloom, fanes, a dropped word that wrongs,
Our tears and smiles able to calm down.

Our different hearts cannot but contrast,
The eclectics of nations always taxes.
In contiguous worlds we escaped at last.
That rebirth did change systems of my axes.

To see eyes of yours, fly to the east or west
For to lose the past but – to find this, my quest.
