The closest

Love is the closest kind of friendship
Two souls with similar designs
Each day wearing away the lines
Adding more and more to unity and kinship
In love there is a trust beyond the word
Separated we play each a part
United by love we are riveted by need
In each heart rooting a single seed
To dive in love - a mythic journey to be taken
To find this fortune not to be forsaken
To live the longing for belonging in a sense
Tendered with the joy of innocence
Measured each in each in loving grace

Poem of the Day

poet George Gordon Byron

So we'll go no more a-roving
So late into the night,
Though the heart still be as loving,
And the moon still be as bright.

For the sword outwears its sheath,
