The Cold New Year's Eve Poem by Bernard F. Asuncion

The Cold New Year's Eve

J-anuary first early morn
E-liminates the twilight;
R-ain and chill disappear,
R-ising sun sets things
A-right.

R-emembering your birth
E-nds the previous year;
V-iews of fireworks display
A-re bringing Sunday cheer.
M-idnight is passing by,
O-ne Saturday wants to leave;
N-ew dawn begins to replace
T-he cold new year's
E-ve.
